New Book Review:Black Books Matter- Children's Books Celebrating Black Boys

Each year, there are more children’s books published about animals than Black people. Black people have historically been, and continue to be, underrepresented, misrepresented, or invisible in children’s literature. Black male characters are even less visible, and even fewer still, are books reflecting positive and empowered depictions of Black boys.

Jeffrey Werbock, a distinguished performing artist based in the United States and Chairman of the Mugham Society of America (MSA). He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1951. In 1971 he moved to Los Angeles, California and the following year he met an elderly man from Daghestan who played traditional Azerbaijani music on one of their native instruments, the kamancha....

Malik Ayub Sumbal is an Award Winning journalist, Anchor, Broadcaster and Analyst. He has been working in to the world leading media organizations for the last 15 years. He served on several key positions like Editor in Chief, Managing Editor, Editorial Director. Malik has won the Syracuse University Mirror Award for 2012; The S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University confers the Mirror Awards annually to honor excellence in reporting on the media industry.
Currently Malik is based in Beijing and working as International Planning Editor at China Global Television Network CGTN. He also served as Editor in Chief at Eurasia Media Network in Baku, Azerbaijan for two year.

New collaborative UNESCO Publication - ‘Interculturalism at the crossroads’

This book, in focusing on the latter concept, and in particular in its intercultural dialogue manifestation, offers at once theoretical examinations, policy discussion and practical explorations of its uptake across the world. International Relations Manager of International Multicultural Network visited Multicultural Center in Warsaw, Poland.

Multicultural Center  in Warsaw was established by the Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw. The aim of the Center is to provide the representatives of different cultures a place where they can feel like home. The Center cooperates with municipal offices and institutions as well as NGOs in order to create friendly environment for migrants and to give opportunities to them to implement their ideas and to share their culture.
Rima Mammadova met with multicultural staff members of the Center. Staff members were   given information about the activities and projects of the center.  The Center consists of four working groups that implement various projects: Information, Activation, Education, Culture and Research. During her visit to the Center, the staff prepared to the election of a new Board. The Board is selected for three years.

 1.Let’s begin by introducing yourself to our esteemed readers.

I am a professional journalist and the founder and director of the The Prisma – The Multicultural Newspaper, a weekly newspaper based in Britain. I was born in Colombia, a country in South America, and I’ve lived in England for a number of years. I’ve worked in journalism constantly, all my adult life. I’ve been a reporter, a researcher, a columnist, editor and director, mainly in written media – printed and online – and recently also in TV. I am also a translator. My specialisms are the environment, politics, human rights, immigrant issues, and vulnerable sectors of society. And I have given talks on these issues in different countries.
